1957.  I love coming across these dates in the cement off old sidewalks. I think this is the oldest one I've seen. Anybody got an older one?

I post a lot of Abraham quotes here. Yesterday I revisited their seminars. I feel recharged and recommitted to what I want in my life, refreshed in the knowing. Banish those upstream thoughts!

This is what fall feels like this year - rushing in to greet me, in a jumbling pile of leaves turning color, like they are supposed to, but I'm sort of taken by surprise.

I've got myself involved in two creative endeavors. They both are challenges to my perception of myself as an artist, but not to my talents. I love that I am putting myself out there like that, and I can't wait to see what will happen next because of it.

One foot in front of the other. I hear that's how it all takes care of itself. Point the bow in the general direction, offer due diligence, and eventually a finished product, one that is good enough - probably not perfect, but good enough - appears. Which makes it so much easier to pick up your stuff and try it again.

What are we all waiting for? Permission? Sometimes.

I give you permission.

deprivation

As you don't allow the Well-being in, it shows up in shadows in your life that are illnesses in your body, and deprivation of things that you want. Then you assign those things labels, and over time you come to believe that that is a reality that has a source somewhere. And then you develop whole bodies of information to protect yourself from the "evil source" that never existed to begin with.

the mother lode

The thrift store to end all thrift stores is about 10 miles from my new place. I found this adorable kitchen table and chairs there tonight - "Made in Yugoslavia" of all places, burned into the wood, not just stamped. Some regal veneer on this puppy, let me tell you:

An entryway that makes it feel like I have cathedral ceilings. Big closets. Water pressure in the shower like a waterfall...ahhhhhhhhhhhh. A free shelving unit. Great neighbors. Windows facing east and west. Someone's internet router feeding into mywireless card.

A lake within walking distance. That's what I'm going to do with my time right now.

parking spots

OBSERVATION

Two days in a row now I have been approaching a shopping area where I intend to do business, and as I am anticipating that a parking spot will be there for me as I arrive, there is not only one, but two, right next to each other. This thrills me to no end, partly because I really want one of those parking spots, and partly because in my belief system, this manifestation means that I have been getting better at focusing my thoughts in the direction I want them to go.

empire building

blI am building a new empire. My empire is being built on this dynamic - everyone has to relearn how to pay attention to how they feel in order to know whether the action they are about to take is one they should truly be taking.  This requires various degrees of peeling back layers of conditioned "Yes ma'am"-ing and doing the doormat thing.

This will be painful at first, since it feels so strange, and we so instinctually want to stick with what we know rather than venture out into unfamiliar territory, even if what we know totally sucks.

If you wanna play in my empire, those are the rules, folks.

I'd agree  with that, but there is also the mechanism of the universe to take into consideration that is allowed to lock and load when you give your consent.  Big imaginations give that energy room to launch out of the chute, like it wants to, like it's been calling you to finally sanction.  It can feel like a bronco doing its thing, that wild ride, but it can become your pet pony when you sync up with it.

I'd highly recommend doing that.
