The past three hours have been a cortisol-fueled parents' nightmare.
Little man started yelping in pain this morning, grabbing his left ear in agony. His pain threshold is quite high, so to hear him in this condition was a bit disconcerting.
Driving to the pediatrician's office after practically begging to be seen on a Saturday, then driving to the drugstore to get prescriptions filled, and then back home again was not fun. In even the slightest, remotest sense of the word. But his pain finally started going away, and he was a new kid in a matter of moments.
Now he's with dad for his regular weekend scheduling and where he can get his hands on his Playstation games. I'm confident he'll be fine come Monday morning.
Deep exhale....and off to do something nurturing for myself.
